Mike Swayne is the tenor of Odyssey and is the quartet's sound technician. He has been singing gospel for many years and barbershop music since 1996.

Mike was the tenor in the gospel quartet One Voice and is currently a tenor in the Men of Note Chorus. Mike's musical roots reach all the way to the Stamps-Baxter gospel quartet, where his great uncle was a member.

Mike is a Field Service Engineer for Ampex Data Systems. He is a native of Houston, Texas. He and his wife, Judi, live in Carrollton,Texas.

Baritone

Roger Daw sings baritone for Odyssey, the most difficult part in a barbershop quartet (according to Roger).

Roger began his musical career as a trombone player. He has sung gospel for many years and has been singing barbershop since 1999. At different times, he sang both lead and baritone in the gospel quartet One Voice and is currently a baritone in the Men of Note Chorus.

Roger is a native of Midland, Texas, and is employed by A.H. Belo as an Internal Audit Manager. He and his wife, Marcia, make their home in Carrollton, Texas.

Bass

Greg Hargis is Odyssey's bass. Greg has also been singing gospel for years and was the bass in the gospel quartet One Voice. He has been singing barbershop since 1988, having sung with many choruses and quartets including the Singing Cadets of Texas A&M, the Diamond State Chorus (in Little Rock, AR) and the quartets Showtime and Tonal Eclipse. In addition to singing bass in Odyssey, Greg is also a bass in the Men of Note Chorus.

Greg is also a magician, often adding a little magic to an Odyssey performance. His antics are a constant souce of frustration to Odyssey's lead, Bob, who is determined to figure out how Greg "does it" for at least one of his tricks!

Greg was a Navy pilot from 1983-1989 and now flies for American Airlines. He is a native of Brownsville, Texas. He and his wife, Heidi, live in Carrollton, Texas.

Lead

Bob Dover is the lead for Odyssey. He has been singing in various groups for most of his life, receiving early encouragement from his mother, a gospel quartet singer herself. Attending the University of Michigan, he sang in its Men's Glee Club. He has also sung with several gospel ensembles while living in the Detroit, MI area.

Bob began singing barbershop in 1990 as a lead with the Men of Note Chorus. He has also sung with several quartets, among them Impromptu (3-time District Silver Medalist quartet of the Southwestern District of the Barbershop Harmony Society).

Bob is a native of Garden City, Michigan and is the sole Yankee of Odyssey. He is employed by Nortel Networks as a computer programmer, but says that his biggest task is teaching English as a Second Language to his Texan quartet buddies. He lives in Melissa, Texas.
